Women’s Day Celebration at Nopany Institute - 2025

The Women’s Day Celebration at Nopany Institute took place on the 8th of March, 2025, and was a significant occasion that saw active participation from both male and female attendees. The theme of the event focused on the critical issues of gender equality and gender sensitization, aiming to raise awareness and promote positive change within the community.

The program commenced with a captivating narrative dance performance by Srija Pal and Shreya Pal from NIMS, which set a compelling tone for the day’s proceedings. This was followed by a welcoming address from Dr. Tanushree Basak, Associate Professor, who offered an insightful introduction to the theme of the event.

A powerful drama performance, presented by the first-year BPT students of NIHS, highlighted the realities of gender discrimination and underscored the importance of sensitization at various stages of women’s lives.

An expert session led by Dr. Gautami Chatterjee, a distinguished psychologist and a behavioral expert provided valuable insights into the actionable steps individuals can take to combat gender-based discrimination and foster sensitivity within their immediate environments.

The event also featured presentations by students from NIMS who showcased their e-posters on critical topics such as “Accelerate Action” and “Cyber Security” respectively.

The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Ms Anamika De Amin, Assistant Professor, who expressed gratitude to all those involved in the event.

To honor the contributions of the female faculty members, meaningful tokens of appreciation were presented to them as a gesture of recognition.
